Media Advisory - Leading Internet Registrar Will Comment on .ca Internet Registration Process

    OTTAWA, Nov. 8 /CNW/ - Rob Hall, President of Internic.ca, Canada's
leading Internet registrar, is available to comment on the process being used
by the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) for the registration of
all .ca Internet domain names.
At midnight last night, CIRA opened the floodgates to new .ca
registrations by changing the standards required to obtain a .ca domain name.
Now Canadians can obtain almost any domain they want, and can own several,
rather than just one, as the previous rules prescribed.
Internic.ca is CIRA's first certified Registrar and has been Canada's
leading Internet registrar since 1998. It is part of the Momentous.ca family
of on-line businesses owned and operated by Robert Hall. Mr. Hall has an
extensive background in Internet regulatory affairs. He founded one of the
first Internet Service Providers in Canada and was one of the principal
founders of the Canadian Association of Internet Providers (CAIP). Mr. Hall
was a founder of and first Chairman of CIRA.
